In short, it's quite simple: Because skill is not subjective.
It's also because you don't need quality to make art, to express yourself.
Still, you do need skill to make great art.
In case this makes sense to you, that would mean most people voting 'yes' on the poll saying it is subjective can't recognize skill over just pure artistic expression.
Even though I'm no professional artist, I'm not that amateur that I can't see the value of those that are professional and that go to great lengths to create amazing works of art, with their skill and artistic vision.
If you voted 'yes', think again. Art without quality is still art, but quality art is much more than just raw expression.
